Work with lights in your scene

Add various types of lights to your scene and set up the scene lighting to suit your requirements.

Add lights to your scene

To place a light in your scene:
  1. From the Project panel, go to the
    Built-in Assets
    folder. This folder contains a group of default objects you can use in your scene.
  2. Drag a Directional Light object to your scene.

Change the type of your light

Directional lights are the default light you can add to your scene. But you can change to one of the other types of light Studio supports:
  1. Select the light in the Hierarchy panel. This opens the Inspector window.
  2. In the Inspector window, change Type to your preferred light type.

Edit the properties of your light

To edit aspects of your light like the color, intensity, range, and more:
  1. Select the light in the Hierarchy panel. This opens the Inspector window which contains the light's properties.
  2. Alter the properties to your liking.
