Change the camera view

You can move the camera around the scene in the same way you move GameObjects. However, the Camera component also includes two alignment actions that help you quickly match the camera's view to the Scene view, and the Scene view to the camera's transform. These help you position and frame shots precisely.

Match the Scene view

To set the camera's position and rotation to match your current Scene view:
  1. In the Scene view, set your view to your desired composition.
  2. In the Hierarchy, select the camera to open the Camera component's Inspector window.
  3. Select Align with View.
The camera preview updates to the position and rotation of your current Scene view.

Match the camera's transform

To move the Scene view to match the selected camera's position and rotation:
  1. In the Hierarchy, select the camera to open the Camera component's Inspector window.
  2. Select Align View to camera.
Your Scene view jumps to the camera's point of view and matches the camera preview.
