Manage the types of Developer Data that Unity collects on your behalf. This applies to any Unity products or services you use in your project which require Developer Data. Unity only collects data as instructed per your chosen settings. Data collection begins when your app runs on a supported device. Define how Unity uses your Developer Data in Usage Settings.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Essential Data | Collect the minimum data that Unity requires to deliver the products and services you use. This includes: - Crash logs - Telemetry - Configuration metadata The data that Unity collects depends on the services you use in your project. Essential Data is collected by default if diagnostic data is enabled in the Unity Editor. This is the default behaviour for new Unity projects on version 6.2 and later. If you’re upgrading from an older version of Unity, diagnostic data is not enabled by default. To enable or disable diagnostic data collection, refer to configure diagnostic data in the Editor. |
Additional Recommended Data | Collect additional data outside of what is essential for the products and services that you use. For example, this could allow Unity to collect data which is essential for Analytics, even if you don't use Analytics directly. You can then define how Unity uses this data in the Usage Settings. |
