Add custom metadata field to your asset

How to add a custom metadata field from your organization library to improve your asset’s relevance.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you meet the following prerequisites:
  • You have the Contributor or higher role in an Asset Manager project.
  • You have at least one asset in your project.
Note
Any user with the Contributor role in a project can add or remove custom metadata fields from assets.

Add a custom metadata field to your asset

To add a custom metadata field to your asset:
  1. Select an asset. A side panel appears on the right.
  2. On the top right corner, select Edit. You’re now in editing mode.
  3. Go below to the Custom section and select Add custom Field. The Add custom metadata window opens.
  4. Select the Select metadata dropdown menu.
  5. Select a metadata from the dropdown list.
  6. Select Add.
  7. Enter a value in the added metadata field.
  8. Select Save version.
The newly added metadata and its value now appear in the Info tab.
Important
You need to enter a value to add the metadata field to the asset.
