Unity Pipeline Automation runs a pipeline when it detects a selected event. You can choose events from apps to trigger your pipeline. The Asset Manager app consists of the following events:
  • New asset version is created: This event occurs when you select Edit on an asset. A new asset version is created, even if you don't save it.
  • Asset version is updated: This event occurs when you update any field of an unsaved asset version, except for file changes. For example, any updates to Description, Name, Type, or Custom metadata trigger the pipeline.
  • New file is uploaded: This event occurs when you upload a new file to an existing asset and the file upload is complete.
  • Asset version is submitted: This event occurs when you select Save version after you make changes to the asset. The asset version is frozen, and you can’t make changes to it anymore.
