Edit an automation

Manage and edit automations to define when and how pipelines run.

You can enable, disable, and reconfigure automations to control when they run and update their settings as needed.

Prerequisite

Before you start, make sure you meet the following prerequisite:
  • You have the Automation Developer role.

Enable or disable an automation

New automations are enabled by default. When enabled, an automation detects its configured trigger type (schedule or event) and runs its pipeline. When disabled, the automation doesn't detect its trigger and doesn’t run. To enable or disable an automation:
  1. In the Unity Pipeline Automation service, select Automations.
  2. Go to the automation you want to change.
  3. On the right side, use the toggle to enable or disable the automation.
Your automation status is updated.

Reconfigure an automation

To change an automation’s configuration:
  1. In the Unity Pipeline Automation service, select Automations.
  2. Go to the automation you want to change.
  3. On the right side, select the More (… ) menu.
  4. Select Edit. The automation configuration wizard opens.
  5. Use Back and Next to navigate to the fields you want to change.
