You can upload assets from your local computer to Unity Asset Manager and keep the same folder structure you use there. This helps you to easily browse and manage your files in Asset Manager, especially if your local repository is already organized. When you upload a folder, you can choose one of the following upload options:
- Match the folder structure (default): You can preserve your folder hierarchy and convert folders into Collections, and files into assets.
- Ignore the folder structure: You can flatten your folder hierarchy and upload all files into a single level with no Collections.
Prerequisites
- You have the Contributor or higher role in the Asset Manager project where you will add assets.
- The recommended best practice is to keep your folder size under 4 GB. Use the CLI ingestion tool for larger uploads and more complex repositories.
