Set up notifications

Set up email and push notifications for your Unity organization.

You can set up email and push notifications for specific events and actions that occur in your Unity organization, such as billing and usage, asset management, and diagnostics.
Push notifications are available through the following apps:
  • Slack
  • Discord
  • Microsoft Teams
Notifications can be sent to users, project participants or entire organizations. For information about user roles and permissions, refer to User types, roles and permissions.

Set up app integrations for push notifications

You can set up one or more third-party app integrations to send push notifications to a specific channel. For information about how to set up integrations with Slack, Discord, and Microsoft teams, refer to the following sections.

Connect Slack

To integrate your Unity notifications with Slack, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, open the Account menu and select Manage organization.
  2. In the Administration menu, select Notifications.
  3. In the App Integrations section, locate Slack, and then select Connect.
  4. Select the channel where you want to send notifications.
  5. Select Allow.
To change the channel where you want to send notifications, select Edit Slack configuration.
To disconnect the integration, select Disconnect.

Connect Discord

To integrate your Unity notifications with Discord, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, go to Administration > Notifications.
  2. In the App Integrations section, locate Discord, and then select Connect.
  3. Enter the webhook URL for the Discord channel where you want to send notifications.
  4. Select Connect.
To change the webhook URL for Discord notifications, select Edit Discord configuration.
To disconnect the integration, select Disconnect.

Connect Microsoft Teams

To integrate your Unity notifications with Microsoft Teams, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, go to Administration > Notifications.
  2. In the App Integrations section, locate Microsoft Teams, and then select Connect.
  3. Enter the webhook URL for the Microsoft Teams channel where you want to send notifications.
  4. Select Connect.
To change the webhook URL for Microsoft Teams notifications, select Edit Microsoft Teams configuration.
To disconnect the integration, select Disconnect.

Set up email and push notifications for specific events

You can set up both email and push notifications for specific events. When you turn on push notifications, you receive notifications through each connected app.
To configure which events send email and push notifications, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, open the Account menu and select Manage organization.
  2. In the Administration menu, select Notifications.
  3. In the Notify me when section, turn on Email and Chat notifications for each event you want to receive notifications about.
Your changes are saved automatically.
