Create and track Jira issues

Create and track asset related Jira issues from Asset Manager web.

Prerequisites

  • The Jira integration is set up by an organization Owner.
  • You have the Consumer or Contributor role.

Create a Jira issue

To create a Jira issue:
  1. In Asset Manager web, select an asset.
  2. In the side panel, select the Comments tab.
  3. On the right side of a comment, select the more (…) menu.
  4. Select Create new Jira issue.
  5. In the Create Jira issue dialog box, enter the required details.
  6. Select Create issue.
The Jira issue is created. To view the issue in Asset Manager, select the related thread. The issue and its details appear in the thread section. To view the issue in Jira, select the issue number.

Link Jira issues

To link similar Jira issues to the thread:
  1. In Asset Manager web, select an asset. The side panel opens.
  2. Select the Comments tab.
  3. On the right side of a comment, select the more (…) menu.
  4. Select Link existing Jira issue.
  5. In the Link existing Jira issue dialog, select the project and Jira issue. The dialog expands to display the issue's details.
  6. Select Link issue.
The linked issues appear in the thread section.
Note
To unlink issues, select the more (…) menu on the issue, and then select Unlink issue.
