You can add interactivity, 3D models, materials, UI, and animations to your applications. Instead of code, Unity Lite lets you combine nodes to create logic for your objects in a visual scripting system called Lite Logic.

Who Unity Lite is for

Unity Lite empowers you to bring your ideas to life, no matter your role. You can use Unity Lite regardless of your technical background because you don't need to write any code. Unity Lite is perfect for:
  • Designers
  • Artists
  • Knowledge experts (such as Project Managers, Mechanical Engineers)
  • Marketers or sales team members
However, if you want to create complex applications or games, you might require features beyond those provided by Unity Lite. Unity Lite isn't intended for professional developers or users who need advanced programming features. It's more efficient for developers to use the full Unity Editor, which supports C# scripting and a broader range of advanced tools.

What you can create with Unity Lite

You can use Unity Lite to create prototypes and applications, each with completely different purposes. This section gives you some ideas of what you can create and how you can work together. For example, you can:
  • Create interactive training: Build UI and step-by-step interactive training scenarios.
  • Present externally: Export your work as a web application for customers or external partners to review.
  • Build configurators: Develop simple product configurators with interactive options.
  • Design a Human-Machine Interface (HMI): Prototype and visualize HMI layouts.
  • Review designs internally: Annotate, comment, and iterate on 3D scenes, then save your work for use in other tools.

Unity Lite beta program

The Unity Lite beta program is open until the end of 2025. Depending on feedback and testing needs, Unity might extend or expand beta access beyond this date. For more information, contact your account manager.
