Whenever you work with technology, unforeseen events like browser crashes or power outages can happen. To help you avoid lost work, Unity Lite provides two ways of saving your project.
Autosave
Unity Lite automatically saves your draft every 5 seconds, if you’ve made a change in that time. So even if you close your browser, you don't lose your recent changes. Autosave versions of your draft are only visible to you. Other members of your organization can't access your autosaved changes until you manually save (freeze) your draft.Manual save
You can also manually save your draft at any time. Saving manually creates a new, official version of your draft in the Asset Manager. Some important facts about manual saves in Unity Lite:- Manual saves are also known as 'freezing' your draft.
- Manual saves are visible to everyone in your organization.
- When someone else opens your draft, they can access the latest manually saved version.
- Freezing your changes also allows you to go back to any previous version using version history in the Asset Manager.
- It's still important to manually save often for these reasons.
Manually save your draft
To manually save your draft:- Go to the Hierarchy panel.
- Select the Save Draft button (floppy disk icon) at the top right of the panel.
