Manage fleets
Note: The content on this page pertains to Multiplay Hosting, available on the Unity Cloud Dashboard. If you’re using Clanforge, refer to Clanforge documentation.
You can manage your fleets from the Unity Cloud Dashboard. Refer to the sections below to learn how to perform basic fleet tasks, such as creating a fleet, updating a fleet, taking a fleet offline, and bringing a fleet online.
Create a fleet
Refer to Create a fleet.
Update a fleet
To update a fleet:
- In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
- Select Fleets.
- Select the fleet you want to update.
- Select Build configurations to update the build configurations.
- Select Scaling settings to update the scaling settings.
Take a fleet offline
Taking a fleet offline initializes the process of scaling down all regions within the fleet. The fleet won’t be offline until each region within it finishes scaling down.
To take a fleet offline:
Warning: Taking a fleet offline impacts the availability of your game or application.
- In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
- Select Fleets.
- Select the fleet you want to update.
- Select the fleet status, then select Take fleet offline.
Note: Taking a region offline can take up to several hours. The process of taking a region offline drains all the servers within the region and prevents new players from joining servers in the region.
Bring a fleet online
To bring a fleet online:
- In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
- Select Fleets.
- Select the fleet you want to update.
- Select the fleet status, then select Bring fleet online.
Delete a fleet
To delete a fleet:
Warning: You can't delete a fleet if it's currently online and taking server allocations. You must take a fleet offline before you can delete it.
- In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
- Select Fleets.
- Select the fleet you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
