Manage build configurations

A build configuration manages the build it’s linked to by dictating the query protocol, the application executable path, and the launch parameters. You can manage build configurations within your account from the Unity Cloud Dashboard. Refer to the sections below to learn how to perform basic build configuration tasks, such as creating a build configuration and updating a build configuration.

Create a build configuration

Refer to Create a build configuration.

Update a build configuration

To update an existing build configuration:

  1. In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
  2. Select Build Configurations.
  3. Select the build configuration you want to update.
  4. Select Update build configuration.

Remove a build configuration

To remove a build configuration from a fleet:

  1. In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
  2. Select Fleets.
  3. Select a fleet.
  4. Select the Build configurations tab.
  5. Select the build configuration you want to remove from the fleet.
  6. Select Remove configurations.

Delete a build configuration

To delete a build configuration:

Note: You must remove the build configuration from all fleets before deleting it.

  1. In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
  2. Select Build Configurations.
  3. Select the build configuration you want to delete.
  4. Select Delete.

Change the active build configuration of a server

The only way to change the active build configuration of a specific game server is to specify a different build configuration with an allocation call. Refer to Active build configuration.

Add a configuration variables

To add configuration variables to a build configuration:

  1. In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
  2. Select Build Configurations.
  3. Select the build configuration you want to update.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Select Next to navigate to the Configuration variables section.
  6. Select Add variable to add a new configuration variable.

Update usage settings

To update usage settings of a build configuration:

  1. In the Unity Cloud Dashboard, open Multiplay Hosting.
  2. Select Build Configurations.
  3. Select the build configuration you want to update.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Navigate to the Usage setting section.
  6. Select Custom.
  7. Adjust the CPU speed and Memory values.
  8. Select Next, then Finish.
