Run builds manually

Build Automation allows you to manually trigger builds for individual configurations or groups of build targets.

Run individual builds

There are two ways to manually trigger a build for an individual build configuration:

Run builds from the Configurations page

  1. Navigate to DevOps > Build Automation > Configurations.
  2. In the list of build configurations, locate the configuration you want to build.
  3. Click Build next to the desired configuration to start the build.

Run builds from the Build history page

  1. Go to DevOps > Build Automation > Build history.
  2. Select Build at the top right of the page.
  3. In the dialog that appears, choose the specific build configuration you want to trigger.

Run builds for a build target group

If you have set up build target groups, you can trigger builds for these groups in a similar way to individual builds. Running builds for a group allows you to build multiple configurations simultaneously, streamlining the process.

Run builds for build target groups from the Configurations page

  1. Go to DevOps > Build Automation > Configurations > Build target groups tab.
  2. In the Build Target Groups table, locate the group you want to build.
  3. Select Build on the row for the build target group you want the builds to run.

Run builds for build target groups from the Build history page

  1. Navigate to DevOps > Build Automation > Build history.
  2. Select Build at the top right of the page.
  3. In the dialog, select the build target group you want to build.
