Run builds manually
Build Automation allows you to manually trigger builds for individual configurations or groups of build targets.
Run individual builds
There are two ways to manually trigger a build for an individual build configuration:
Run builds from the Configurations page
- Navigate to DevOps > Build Automation > Configurations.
- In the list of build configurations, locate the configuration you want to build.
- Click Build next to the desired configuration to start the build.
Run builds from the Build history page
- Go to DevOps > Build Automation > Build history.
- Select Build at the top right of the page.
- In the dialog that appears, choose the specific build configuration you want to trigger.
Run builds for a build target group
If you have set up build target groups, you can trigger builds for these groups in a similar way to individual builds. Running builds for a group allows you to build multiple configurations simultaneously, streamlining the process.
Run builds for build target groups from the Configurations page
- Go to DevOps > Build Automation > Configurations > Build target groups tab.
- In the Build Target Groups table, locate the group you want to build.
- Select Build on the row for the build target group you want the builds to run.
Run builds for build target groups from the Build history page
- Navigate to DevOps > Build Automation > Build history.
- Select Build at the top right of the page.
- In the dialog, select the build target group you want to build.
