One of the most powerful aspects of Game Server Hosting is its scaling technology. Scaling works by constantly monitoring the available server capacity, increasing or decreasing it within a fleet or a fleet region in response to changes in the number of allocated servers. This ensures that you have enough servers to meet the demands of your players and aren't paying for servers that you don't need.

There are two types of servers: bare metal and cloud.

  • Bare metal servers are less expensive to run in the long term, because servers are rented instead of billed based on consumption, but they have a longer lead time for procurement.
  • Cloud servers are more expensive in the long run, because they're billed based on consumption, but they're easy to bring up or down based on necessity, so they're only online when needed.
