Network configuration
Use the server administration console to configure the ports where the Unity Version Control (UVCS) server listens for both encrypted and non-encrypted data.
Note: Don't forget to click Apply for changes to take effect.
Configure the required values:
Settings | Description |
---|---|
TCP ports | By default, Plastic SCM uses 8087 as its TCP port number. If you change the default listening port, you need to set up the UVCS clients to the new port. |
SSL ports | SSL requires a certificate to encrypt communication. UVCS generates a self-signed certificate the first time the UVCS server starts, bound to the current host name. To use your own certificate, enter the certificate file name and password. If the password is wrong, UVCS doesn’t apply the changes. The certificate file needs to be in the UVCS server directory. Select Recreate self-signed cert to create a new self-signed certificate. |
UDT ports (Windows only) | Configure the UDT ports if you're working with high-speed networks. |
UDP discovery service | Let the Plastic SCM server be reachable by the clients in the LAN. |
Override host name | Set an IP address if you need to override the Plastic server host name. |
