Change authentication mode#

Change the authentication mode for your Unity Version Control (UVCS) clients. For more information about authentication modes, refer to Authentication configuration.

To change your authentication mode, sign in to the server administration console:

1. Select Change auth mode to select a new authentication mode:
   • Local name
   • Name and ID
   • LDAP
   • Active Directory
   • User and password
2. Select Apply to apply the new selected mode.
3. Configure the new authentication mode:
   • For Local name, Name and ID, and Active Directory, you don't need a specific configuration.
   • For LDAP, you need to configure the required data to establish the connection, advanced connection, and security settings. You can also configure advanced features if you want to use groups.
   • For User and password, you need to manage the users and groups that the UVCS server identifies.
