Fleet regions

A fleet region describes a group of servers within a given fleet in a given region. Fleet regions connect fleets and regions in the fleet hierarchy, and are used to specify regional configurations.

Fleets can have one or more fleet regions. A fleet region can only exist within a single fleet; you can't use the same fleet region in multiple fleets, even if they’re under the same account service. Each region can have one or more locations in which game servers within the region exist. An example of fleet region configuration is shown in the following diagram.

Fleet regions are logical containers for region-specific scaling settings that Clanforge applies to the machine capacity within that region. Clanforge manages all scaling decisions at the region level, which allows for more granular control over machine capacity and the game servers within the fleet by providing the option to override fleet settings for the machines within each region. In addition, because Clanforge makes all scaling decisions at the fleet region level, if you don’t override a setting at the fleet region level, then the region inherits the setting from its parent fleet.
