Manual placement
If no AR markers or reference points have been set in the VisualLive plug-in, no anchor locks have been saved, or if you plan to use a different location in the model as your initial placement point, use the Manual placement loading procedure to load your model. It is suitable for large models.
If you are using the General loading procedure, continue with the procedure below.
Place the model manually
Prerequisite: Steps in the General loading procedure have been completed.
If no alignment options have been set in the model, or you skipped the options presented, the model loads into view.
Use the tools in the Align menu to align the model to the site. For information see Align menu.
If you are having difficulty moving the model into the correct position on the site:
- You can switch to Navigate mode to reposition yourself in the model. See Reposition yourself in the model.
- Switch back to AR mode and use the tools in the Align menu to fine tune the alignment.
If you are using a device with LiDAR and are connected to Wi-Fi, you can save this alignment point for future sessions by creating an anchor lock.
