AR mode interface overview

The image below shows a view of a loaded model in AR mode. Wireframe and Occluding are not enabled.

Missing from the image: the **File Browser **window, which is used to load or sync a model for use in AR mode. For an overview of the File Browser, see Find your way around.

VisualLive menu provides access to the following:

Online or offline status. In offline mode, tracks time remaining in offline session.

  • Bug Report. Opens a form to submit a bug report.

  • Reset. Closes the currently loaded model.

  • Switch user. Opens the Login page. Switching the user closes the currently loaded model.

  • Logout. Logs out the current user and exits the application.

Opens the File Browser window. Not available when the Align menu is open.Always, except when the Align menu is open.

Scan an AR marker to:

  • Load and place a model without selecting the model from the File Browser.

  • Align a loaded model with the site at the marker's position.

Note: AR markers must exist in the model. They are created in the VisualLive plugin for Revit or Navisworks.

Reset and Align buttons

  • Reset. Tap to redo model placement without reloading the model.

  • Align. Tap to open the Align menu.

Settings selected:

  • Make Clickable. Enables object selection while the model is loading.

  • Overlay Reality. Wireframe, occlusion, wireframe and occlusion, none.

  • Occluding. Determines whether objects in the real-world can obstruct the view of objects in the model.

  • X-Ray: Use to adjust model transparency.

  • Distance Filtering: Use to limit scanning distance.
