Create and lock an anchor using the Anchor button
You can place an anchor lock at an alignment point in your model to save the alignment.
Prerequisites:
• You must be connected to Wi-Fi.
• This feature works best on a device with LiDAR; it is not recommended for devices without LiDAR.
Create a new anchor lock
- In the Align menu, tap the Anchor button.
The blue anchor appears. - Position the blue anchor near the location you used to align the model. Choose a surface that the camera recognizes and that you can move your device to within 10 feet of. For example, stand near the point where you aligned the model and place the anchor lock on the floor where you are standing.
- In the Set Anchor menu, tap Place Anchor.
- You may be prompted to scan the area. When the radial scan is at 100% there is sufficient information to save the anchor lock.
- Tap Done.
A white cloud appears above a lock that has been saved online.
An orange cloud appears beside an anchor that cannot be pushed online.
