What's the difference between managed and unmanaged hosting?

Note: The content on this page pertains to Managed Game Server Hosting (Clanforge). If you’re using Game Server Hosting (Multiplay), refer to the Game Server Hosting (Multiplay) documentation.

Game Server Hosting offers managed hosting, unmanaged hosting, and hybrid hosting (which is a custom combination of the two offerings). With managed hosting, Game Server Hosting manages your game, monitors your processes, troubleshoots machine issues, and facilitates your game updates. Conversely, with unmanaged hosting, Game Server Hosting supplies you with the machines only. Game Server Hosting can't access the machines for troubleshooting or otherwise, but monitors network performance and outages for you.
