New features

The following features are new in this version of Unity Studio:

Pre-defined transformation options for asset import

Added pre-defined transformation options for uploading and importing assets. You can now select transformations using checkboxes on upload or a dropdown on import, and they're automatically applied. You can also transform assets on demand during import. The import action has been updated to Transform and Import for clarity.

Improved car review template

Improved the Car Review template with better lighting and reflections, added car door interactions, and added camera control guidance.

Improved floating license access

Improved floating license access so it is now determined at the organization level. All users in an organization with floating licenses can now access Unity Studio.

Extended animation timeline

Extended the animation timeline beyond the previous 60-second limit. You can now use the + button to expand the timeline in 60-second increments to create longer animations.

Inspector locking

Added the ability to lock the Inspector to a specific object so it remains visible while you select and edit other elements in the scene.

Bug fixes

The following bug fixes are in this version of Unity Studio:
  • Fixed the Material component so it no longer automatically closes when you click Edit.
  • Fixed the color picker so it no longer darkens the entire editor when opened, preserving scene visibility and color accuracy.
  • Fixed the Inspector so it no longer breaks for subsequently added assets when you create a material from the Project panel.
  • Fixed asset loads so they no longer fail due to expired cached URLs.
  • Fixed the
    Glossiness
parameter in the glTF specular glossiness shader so it now has the correct effect.
  • Fixed failed imported assets so they no longer disappear from the Import folder after saving and refreshing.
  • Fixed audio playback so it now plays correctly in published versions as well as in drafts.
