Licensing

Learn about licensing requirements for Pixyz SDK, including floating licenses and FlexNet Publisher setup.

Last updated 9 months ago

A license is required to run Pixyz SDK and products. Read more on unity.com about Pixyz floating licenses usage and setup.
Note
Pixyz SDK is only available for purchase as a floating license, relying on a Flexnet License Manager (FlexLM).

What is floating and Flexera License Manager?

FlexNet Publisher (formerly known as FlexLM) is a software license manager from Flexera Software which implements license management and is intended to be used in corporate environments to provide floating licenses to multiple end users of computer software.
As part of Pixyz SDK deployment, it is required to setup a local (= customer private network or local/virtual private cloud) Flexnet-based license server to host and distribute Pixyz floating licenses to end-users.
Important
Unity x Pixyz does not provide public-cloud licensing mechanism. Each customer must install and deploy their own instance of FlexLM for Pixyz.
See Unity x Pixyz floating documentation page for more information.
