Rename or delete anchor locks#

You can rename an online or offline anchor in the VisualLive for HoloLens app.

To rename anchor locks that were created online, the model must be loaded in the app in an online session. Rename anchor locks that were created offline when the model is loaded in an offline session;

There are a few options for deleting anchor locks:

• Delete one or all online or offline anchor locks in the model using the VisualLive for HoloLens app. Anchor locks created when the model was online can be deleted when the model is loaded in the app online; anchor locks created when the model was offline can be deleted when them model is loaded in the app offline.

• Delete online anchors using the VisualLive portal. For instructions, see the Delete Anchors section in Model Files. Offline anchor locks cannot be deleted from the portal.

Rename or delete anchor locks using the VisualLive for HoloLens app#

In the VisualLive for HoloLens app:

• Anchor locks appear when you are within 30 feet.
• You must physically move to an anchor lock's exact location in the model to rename it or delete it.

To rename or delete an anchor lock:#

1. Open the Model Tools window.

   Ensure that Show Locks is enabled.

2. Move within 30 feet of the anchor lock to make it appear in the view.

3. Airtap the anchor lock. The Edit Anchor dialog box appears:

   • To rename the anchor lock, type the new name in the field with the anchor lock ID and airtap Save.
   • To delete the anchor lock, airtap Delete.

Delete all anchor locks in the model using the VisualLive for HoloLens app#

Note: If you're working online, only online anchor locks are deleted. If you're working offline, only offline anchors are deleted.

1. Open the Model Tools window.
2. Airtap Remove Locks.
