Attention: VisualLive is not available for purchase on visuallive.com after May 1, 2023, and can only be purchased through a Unity client partner until June 30, 2023. Maintenance support as outlined in the terms of service ends either May 1, 2024 or one year after purchase; with no new features added and only minor bug fixes supported.
Load and place the model
Loading a model loads the model into the VisualLive for HoloLens app. Placing the model opens the model into view. You can load a model from the cloud or a model that was previously synced (downloaded) to the device.
Preparation for loading and placement
The best placement method for aligning your model with the site depends on the characteristics of the site and your reasons for visualizing the model. Making an initial visit to plan for alignment is recommended. See Prepare the environment.
Most placement methods require preparation.
- Placement with AR markers or reference points (two-point placement) require preparation of the model in the VisualLive plug-in Revit or Navisworks.
- To use Anchor search, the model must already contain an anchor lock.
The Manual Adjustment placement method does not require preparation.
