HoloLens voice commands#

You don't need to open the assigned menu to use voice commands. Speak voice commands aloud to automatically enable the relevant tools.

General commands#

• Menu – Brings the menu into view

• Yes – Selects Yes in the dialogue box

• No – Selects No in the dialogue box

• Okay – Selects Okay in the dialogue box

  Note: The below voice commands are useful when Wi-Fi isn't available and you want to capture on-site visuals.

• Hey Cortana, start recording – Starts recording a video

• Hey Cortana, stop recording – Stops recording the video

Capture commands#

• Start Capturing – Enables picture taking
• Stop Capturing – Disables picture taking
• Take Picture – Captures a picture and opens the issue form

Overlay Reality commands#

• Overlay Reality – Turns on the reality mesh
• Overlay Model – Turns off the reality mesh

Measurement commands#

• Start Measuring – Enables measure mode
• Stop Measuring – Disables measure mode
• Perpendicular – Turns on perpendicular lines
• Snap – Enables vertex snapping for measure node placement
• Feet and Inch – Changes unit to feet and inches
• Decimal Feet – Changes unit to decimal feet
• Metric – Changes unit to metric system
• Place – Places a measure node
• Remove All – Removes all placed measure lines
