Connect your Google Analytics property to the Developer Data framework to improve the quality and completeness of data signals that power your projects' performance with Unity products. For more information about how the integration works and what data is available, refer to Introduction to using Google Analytics with the Developer Data framework.
중요
The following concerns a product or service (each a “Third Party Product”) that is not developed, owned, or operated by Unity. This information may not be up-to-date or complete, and is provided to you for your information and convenience only. Your access and use of any Third Party Product is governed solely by the terms and conditions of such Third Party Product. Unity makes no express or implied representations or warranties regarding such Third Party Products, and will not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any actual or alleged damage or loss arising from your use thereof (including damage or loss arising from any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from the provider of any Third Party Products).

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following user roles:
  • The Owner or Manager role in the organization that the Unity project belongs to in the Unity Dashboard
  • For Google Analytics properties without existing BigQuery data exports, the Administrator role on the Google Analytics property
  • For Google Analytics properties with existing BigQuery data exports, the Owner, BigQuery Admin, or BigQuery Data Owner role in Google Cloud Console Identity and Access Management (GCP IAM)
참고
The following roles in Google Cloud Console don't have the permissions required to complete the linking process:
  • Editor
  • BigQuery Data Editor
  • Project IAM Admin
If you have one of these roles, then ask someone with the Owner, BigQuery Admin, or BigQuery Data Owner role to complete the linking process.

Confirm whether you have an existing BigQuery export (optional)

If you aren't sure whether you have an existing BigQuery export associated with your Google Analytics property, then you can check by using the project ID.
To check whether your Google Analytics property has an existing BigQuery export, follow these steps:
  1. In Google Analytics, go to Admin (gear icon) > Product links > BigQuery links.
  2. Identify the project ID:
  • If the project ID is
    unity-firebase-bq-links-prd
, then you don't have an existing BigQuery export.
  • If any other Google Cloud project ID is displayed, then you have an existing BigQuery export.

Confirm whether you have the required user roles (optional)

To confirm whether you have the required user roles in Google Analytics and Google Cloud Console, check the following locations:
  • In Google Analytics, go to Admin > Property Access Management.
  • In Google Cloud Console, go to Navigation menu > IAM & Admin.

Link your Google Analytics data

To integrate your Google Analytics data with the Developer Data framework, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, open your project and select Settings.
  2. In the Developer Data section, locate Google Analytics (Firebase).
  3. Select Create link.
  4. Select Sign in with Google.
  5. Follow the prompts to sign in to your Google account and accept the data sharing agreement.
  6. Select the Google Analytics property that you want to connect to your Unity project.
  7. In the Developer Data usage: Unity Ads performance section, verify that Access granted is turned on.
참고
Only the organization Owner can turn on Developer Data usage for Unity Ads performance. If you don't have access to verify this setting, then ask an organization Owner to grant additional access after you complete the connection process.
  1. Select Create link and grant access.
After you complete the connection process, the Dashboard displays a confirmation message that the link is successfully created, and the status of Google Analytics (Firebase) is set to
Linked
.

Verify a successful connection

To confirm that your Google Analytics data is linked, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, open your project and select Settings.
  2. In the Developer Data section, confirm the following statuses:
    • Google Analytics (Firebase) is set to
      Linked
      .
    • Developer Data is set to
      Special services: 2 Authorized
      .
If Developer Data displays the status
Configuration Required
or any other status that doesn't include
Special services: 2 Authorized
, then an organization Owner needs to complete the setup process. For configuration instructions, refer to Grant products access to your Developer Data.

Automatically retry an unsuccessful connection

If your Google Analytics account doesn't successfully connect to the Unity Dashboard, then you can automatically retry the connection process.
To retry the connection, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, go to Projects > Settings.
  2. In the Developer Data section, locate Google Analytics (Firebase).
  3. Select View link.
  4. In the Auto-fix integration section, select Run auto-fix.
  5. Select Update Link.
After you complete the connection process, the Dashboard displays a confirmation message that the link is successfully created, and the status of Google Analytics (Firebase) is set to
Linked
.
If Google Analytics still isn't linked after you automatically retry the connection, then refer to Manually connect Google Analytics to the Developer Data framework.
For information about troubleshooting common connection issues with Google Analytics, refer to Troubleshooting connection issues between Google Analytics and the Developer Data framework.

Unlink Google Analytics from the Developer Data framework

To unlink Google Analytics from the Developer Data framework, follow these steps:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, open your project and select Settings.
  2. In the Developer Data section, locate Google Analytics (Firebase).
  3. Select View link.
  4. Select Unlink.
After you unlink Google Analytics, the status of Google Analytics (Firebase) is set to
Not linked
.
