중요
The current version is a beta release. The features and documentation might change between now and the next release.
You can create pipelines to automate workflows using Asset Manager, Asset Transformer, and Slack for notifications.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you meet the following prerequisites:
  • You have the Automation Developer role. Contact your Organization Owner to assign you the role.

Create a pipeline

To create a pipeline for Asset Manager and Asset Transformer using Unity Cloud Automation:

1. Set up the pipeline in Unity Automation

  1. Sign in to your Unity Cloud account.
  2. On the navigation bar of the Unity Dashboard, select Automation > Pipelines.
  3. Select Create pipeline. The Pipeline Details tab appears.
  4. Provide a name, for example, 'Optimize and Convert pipeline'. Add a short description, so your team understands the pipeline's purpose.

2. Add actions to the pipeline

In the dashboard, select Select action. The Select an action from app window opens. Use the following actions to configure your pipeline:
Action 1: Download asset
  1. Below Select app, select Unity Asset Manager.
  2. Below Select action, select Download Dataset.
  3. Select Add Action. The action appears on the builder.
  4. Enter all the required Input parameters for the dataset you want to download.
참고
Make sure the input folder matches the format required for the next action.
Action 2: Optimize and Convert
  1. Select the add + button to add another action.
  2. Below Select app, select Pixyz.
  3. Below Select action, select Optimize and Convert.
  4. Select Add action.
  5. Provide the Input parameters.
Action 3: Upload transformed asset
  1. Select the add + button to add another action.
  2. Below Select app, select Unity Asset Manager.
  3. Below Select action, select Upload Files.
  4. Select Add Action.
  5. Set the Input parameters to upload the processed files back to the same dataset in Asset Manager.
Action 4: Send Slack notification
  1. Select the add + button to add another action.
  2. Below Select app, select Slack.
  3. Below Select action, select Send Channel Message or Send Direct Message depending on your requirement.
  4. Select Add Action.
  5. Configure the Slack token and specify the target channel or user.
참고
Make sure the Slack app is added to the channel where you want to send the message. If you need help setting up the Slack token, contact your Slack administrator.

3. Validate dependencies between actions

Before you run the pipeline, verify the following:
  • The output folder of each action matches the input folder of the next action.
  • All required parameters are set, so the pipeline can run without errors.

4. Save and trigger the pipeline

  1. Select Save.
  2. On the navigation bar, select Pipelines.
  3. Select your pipeline. The Parameters window opens.
  4. Provide all the required information.
  5. Select Run.
  6. On the navigation bar, select Jobs to monitor the pipeline’s progress.
After the pipeline runs successfully, you can see the transformed assets in Asset Manager. You also receive a Slack notification that confirms the pipeline execution.

Automate the pipeline

참고
This is an optional step.
To trigger the pipeline automatically:
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Automations.
  2. Select Create automation.
  3. Select Schedule-based automation and select Next.
  4. Choose your options to configure your schedule.
  5. Provide all the required parameters for your pipeline.
  6. Enter the automation name and bot details.
  7. Select Create automation.
Your pipeline is now set to run automatically on the schedule you defined.

Example use case

Run the pipeline on a Revit file for the Unity Japan office. The pipeline performs these operations:
  • Optimize and Convert the file to GLB format.
  • Upload the transformed file to Asset Manager.
  • Notify you in Slack when the process is complete.
