Twopoints (Two-point alignment)
Twopoints allows you to select two points on your model and the corresponding two points on the site to place your model. It is similar to Two-Point placement. The points are placed horizontally.
Keep in mind that mobile devices’ cameras have difficulty with depth perception, so it is important to be near the points when placing them and to check them at all angles.
Align the model using two-point alignment:
In the Align menu, tap Twopoints.
A crosshair symbol appears in the middle of the screen. Tap the location in the model that you want to align with the site. Alternatively, you can drag the symbol to that location.
Tap the ✓ green checkmark. Another crosshair symbol appears, attached by a green line to the symbol you placed.
Tap a second point in the model a few feet away from the first. This establishes the rotation of the model. Alternatively, you can drag the new crosshair symbol to that location.
Tap the ✓ green checkmark.
A crosshair symbol appears in the middle of the screen. Repeat the same steps as above, but this time place the crosshair symbols in the corresponding points in the site:
- Place the crosshair symbol that indicates the location. Tap the ✓ green checkmark.
- Place the crosshair symbol that defines the rotation. Tap the ✓ green checkmark.
If you are using a device with LiDAR, you can save this alignment point for future sessions by creating an anchor lock. The anchor lock will bring the model into alignment when you move near it. An anchor lock can also be used for model placement.
