UVCS sends information related to the executing operation to the trigger script. UVCS uses the following two approaches:
- Standard input: UVCS uses the standard input to push object references to the trigger script, such as revision specs involved in the triggered operation.
- Environment variables: UVCS uses environment variables to send contextual, general information to the trigger script, such as the user who started the operation or the client machine.
