Unity Studio is a web-based editor that helps teams create, collaborate, and share interactive 3D applications, without the complexity of traditional 3D tools or developer dependency.
Unity Studio lets you:
  • Import your existing 3D data from over 70 supported formats including Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) files.
  • Edit your 3D scene and its objects, materials, UI, and animations directly in your web browser.
  • Use the Logic system to add interactivity to your 3D applications without code complexity.
  • Share drafts instantly via a web link for real-time collaboration and feedback.
  • Export your drafts directly to the Unity Editor for further development.

Who Unity Studio is for

Use Unity Studio to bring 3D ideas to life. You can create and share interactive experiences regardless of your technical background.
Unity Studio is for domain experts and non-technical teams, including:
  • CAD/BIM designers
  • 3D artists
  • Engineers and project managers
  • Instructional designers and trainers
When your project needs to scale into production or requires advanced programming features, you can export your work directly to the Unity Editor. This workflow allows you to start visually and scale technically, which gives development teams a head start without the need to rebuild the project from scratch.

What you can create with Unity Studio

You can use Unity Studio to create prototypes and applications, each with completely different purposes. This section gives you some ideas of what you can create and how you can work together.
For example, you can:
  • Create interactive training: Build UI and step-by-step interactive training scenarios.
  • Present externally: Export your work as a web application for customers or external partners to review.
  • Build configurators: Develop simple product configurators with interactive options.
  • Design a Human-Machine Interface (HMI): Prototype and visualize HMI layouts.
  • Review designs internally: Annotate, comment, and iterate on 3D scenes, then save your work for use in other tools.
