Secret structure
The limits for the fields that make up a secret are as follows:
- The secret key must be unique per hierarchy, contain at least 3 characters, not exceed 100 characters and it must start with an alphanumeric character.
- The secret value can contain up to 50000 characters.
- The secret description can contain up to 255 characters.
Secret storage
The section below lists the limits for secrets in Secret Manager.
- You may store up to 50 secrets per hierarchy level. This translates to a maximum of 50 secrets per organization-level, project-level, and environment-level hierarchy.
- The Secret Manager Client API is not available for direct access. You can only access secrets stored in Secret Manager through integrations.
- The Secret Manager Admin API is not available for direct access. You can manage secrets via the Unity Dashboard.
