Setting the TransmissionMode of an controls which channels any microphone audio and injected audio are broadcast into. Transmission settings only control where your audio goes and does not affect rendered audio spoken by other users.
ILoginSessionBy default, users do not transmit audio into any connected channel, and users can automatically transmit into a new channel when joined without calling specialized methods. Additional transmission-specific APIs exist in , which can set up transmission policy for current and future channels at any time. TransmissionMode is most important to consider for when a user connects to more than one channel at a time.
ILoginSessionMany factors control whether other channel participants can hear a user speaking, including if they have locally muted the user or if the user has been muted by a moderator, if the user has globally muted their microphone, or if the user has joined the channel for text only. If everything else is set to allow voice, then the transmission policy determines if voice is heard.
