Upload Asset window reference

Use the Upload Single Asset or Upload Multiple Assets window to upload files to the Asset Manager and import them into your project.

Both the Upload Single Asset and Upload Multiple Assets windows have the same options and information:

Description

Drag and drop areaDrag files from your computer to upload them to the Asset Manager.
Choose FileOpen a file browser window to select a file from your computer to upload to the Asset Manager.
Supported File TypesHover over this text to view a list of the file types Unity Studio supports.
Transformation ProfilesChoose which transformation profile to apply to your assets during upload.
The following transformation profiles are available:
  • Default Transformation: Make a version of your asset that's optimized for general use in Unity Studio.
  • Studio Optimized: Optimize your assets for use in Unity Studio. This option retains animations, uses Khronos Texture (KTX) compression, and retains some parts of your asset's hierarchy.
  • Full Hierarchy: Similar to Studio Optimized, this option retains animations and uses Khronos Texture (KTX) compression, but it also retains the full hierarchy of your assets.

For full details about the transformation profiles you can apply to your assets, refer to Transformation profiles for assets.
For uploads, Studio Optimized and Default Transformation are enabled by default and you can't deselect them. The Full Hierarchy option is available to select but not enabled by default.
CancelCancel the upload process and close the window.
UploadUpload the selected file or files to the Asset Manager.
