System Requirements

Note

Volta, Turing, Ampere and Ada Lovelace generation cards are now supported. New minimum NVIDIA driver version numbers have been updated below.

Windows (64bit only)

  • Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10

  • NVIDIA CUDA-capable GPU. The minimum requirement is a Maxwell generation GPU (e.g GeForce 980 or similar), but a more recent GPU is highly recommended (e.g. a GeForce 1080 or 2080).

  • NVIDIA display driver version 515.x or higher.

  • 6GB+ of GPU memory is highly recommended.

  • Eddy is compiled under CentOS 7. It has been tested on CentOS 7, Ubuntu 18, and Ubuntu 20.

Note

While having less than the recommended amount of GPU memory is okay, productivity is impacted. The resolution and the number of concurrent simulations starts to drop. Productivity starts to be severely limited with 2GB or less.
