Attention: VisualLive is not available for purchase on visuallive.com after May 1, 2023, and can only be purchased through a Unity client partner until June 30, 2023. Maintenance support as outlined in the terms of service ends either May 1, 2024 or one year after purchase; with no new features added and only minor bug fixes supported.

Fix initial alignment

Depending on the placement options available for your model, fix or fine-tune model placement:

  • Retry model placement. See Realign the model.

  • Bring the model into alignment using the tools in Model Tools.

You can place an anchor lock where you have manually aligned the model. The model pops into alignment as the viewer moves towards each anchor.

  • If the model is not aligned because an AR marker is placed incorrectly, you can correct the position of the AR marker on the site while the model is loaded. See Correct the location of an AR marker (Save Alignment).

  • In the VisualLive plug-in, move the existing AR marker and push the model. Reload in VisualLive for HoloLens and then place the model.

  • In the VisualLive plug-in, relocate the two-point-placement reference points by recreating them and push the model. Reload in VisualLive for HoloLens and then place the model.

Note: Anchor locks and AR markers should not be set closer than 10 feet from each other. If they are closer, they compete for priority and the model may move erratically as the viewer moves.
