In a multiplayer game, you need a way to match players. These players will either be working together or against each other. Competitive games need a way to match players based on how balanced a game would feel for different skill levels. Casual games might just need a way for players to find the same lobby to join as their friends. Multiplayer Services uses a set of parameters to find and connect players to the most suitable session. You define these parameters when you set up the service to best suit your game. The Multiplayer Services SDK supports two ways to find a session:
- Using the Unity Lobby service for quick joins.
- Using the Unity Matchmaker service for advanced rules and network quality controls.
