CSV settings configuration

Use a CSV file to make multiple changes to your account's mediation and network instance settings at one time.

You can manage CSV files on either the SDK Networks page or the Mediation Management page.

SDK Networks page

Upload a CSV file on the SDK Networks page to update your mediated network settings and perform the following actions:

  • Activate and deactivate instances
  • Connect an instance to a mediation group
  • Create instances
  • Delete non-bidding instances
  • Set instance rates
  • Update existing instances

Import CSV

To upload a CSV from the SDK Networks page, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to the SDK Networks page.
  2. Select the app to update.
  3. Select the CSV icon.
  4. Select Import CSV.
  5. Upload your CSV.

CSV structure

Ensure that you structure the CSV file by using the exact column names in the order listed in the following table.

Delete instance Enter True for instances you want to delete. Only non-bidding instances can be deleted by using CSV.Optional 

The following list details additional guidelines for your CSV file:

  • The file can contain up to 10,000 rows
  • Each file can contain only one of the following combinations per row:
    • For bidding networks: network and ad unit 
    • For traditional networks: network, ad unit, and instance name
  • If an existing instance is connected to a mediation group, include that mediation group in your CSV to ensure they stay connected
  • Changes to mediation groups can only be made to active instances

Export to CSV

You can export mediated network instance settings to a CSV file and then use the file as a template to import bulk changes to the platform.

The CSV will include all instances that you've configured and will be structured similar to the table in the preceding section.

If you haven't configured any instances, the file will include sample data. Replace the sample data with your own instance preferences and import it to update your settings.

Mediation Management page 

Upload a CSV file on the Mediation Management page to perform the following actions for your app's mediation settings:

  • Change the optimization type for each tier
  • Change the order of instances
  • Update instance rates

Import CSV

To upload a CSV from the Mediation Management page, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to the Mediation Management page.
  2. Select the app, ad unit, and mediation group to update.
  3. Select the CSV icon.
  4. Select Import CSV.
  5. Upload your CSV.

CSV structure

Ensure that you structure the CSV file by using the exact column names in the order listed in the following table.

Enter a value between 0 and 1000 to set your instance price. For more information, refer to Instance rate.

The following list details additional guidelines for your CSV file:

  • The CSV will only update the selected ad unit and mediation group
  • If an A/B test is running in the selected app, the CSV will only update the group that the toggle is set to

Export to CSV

You can export your mediation group settings to a CSV file to make bulk updates and then import them to the platform.

The CSV will include all instances on the mediation group and will be structured similar to the table in the preceding section.

Set up network settings for an app by using CSV

You can use the CSV tool to configure network instances in bulk after duplicating setup from another app. By using this process, you don't need to access each network's modal on the platform to update the settings manually.

  1. In the left navigation menu, select Dashboard.
  2. In the upper right corner, select New App.
  3. Enter your app's details and then select Duplicate setup from another application.
  4. Select the app to duplicate from the dropdown menu and then select Add App.
  5. In the confirmation window that displays, select Got it.
  6. On the SDK Networks Setup page, in the upper right corner, select the CSV button to export the app's mediated network instance configurations.
  7. Adjust the settings per network in the CSV file according to the guidelines in the appropriate CSV structure section earlier in this topic.
  8. After you've made your adjustments, select the CSV button again to import your updated CSV file.
