Multiplayer Services SDK

Billing and subservices

Understand how Multiplayer Services bills for resource usage and charges.
Read time 1 minuteLast updated a month ago

Sessions relies internally on different combinations of Unity Gaming Services such as Relay, Distributed Authority, Lobby, Matchmaker and Cloud Code, and thus contributes to the billing of those services.

Subservices

The Multiplayer Services SDK is an abstraction layer that wraps Unity Lobby, Relay, and Matchmaker into a single SDK. The Multiplayer Services SDK uses sessions to manage groups of players.
The following standalone SDKs are deprecated:
  • Lobby:
    com.unity.services.lobby
  • Relay:
    com.unity.services.relay
  • Matchmaker:
    com.unity.services.matchmaker
The standalone SDKs are deprecated in favor of
com.unity.services.multiplayer
; their functionalities are still accessible within
com.unity.services.multiplayer
.
