Configure Stripe in the Unity Dashboard
Configure Stripe to use the payment provider to handle payments for in-app purchases.

This integration uses Stripe Managed Payments as the merchant of record (MoR). As the MoR, Stripe assumes the legal responsibility for processing payments, which includes support with tax compliance, fraud prevention, disputes, and customer support. By leveraging Stripe as the MoR, you can significantly reduce your operational overhead and compliance burden for off-platform transactions. Note
Unity doesn't charge a fee to use IAP with Stripe. Stripe sets its own transaction fees, which you negotiate directly with Stripe.
Stripe can't process purchases until you set a Success-redirect URL, which you configure once in the Unity Dashboard for all your payment providers. For more information, refer to Set your redirect URLs.
To configure Stripe in the Unity Dashboard, complete the following steps:
- In the Unity Dashboard, go to Development > Products.
- Select In-App Purchases.
- Select Payment Providers.
- In the Payment Provider Configuration section, select Connect.
- Select an Account Type:
- Use Sandbox Account for testing.
- Use Live Account for your live game.
- Select Connect to open a dialog and link your Unity account with your chosen payment provider account via OAuth.
- Select Save.
- In Payment Provider Configuration, select Edit to set the redirect URLs that apply to all your payment providers. For more information, refer to Set your redirect URLs.
Important
To connect a Live account with Stripe, you first need to meet the Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. For more information, refer to Stripe's Identity verification documentation.
Stripe configuration options
The following table describes the configuration options that Unity displays for Stripe in Payment Provider Configuration. To set the redirect URLs that Stripe uses after checkout, refer to Set your redirect URLs.
Setting | Description |

| Account ID | Displays your Stripe account ID. This is obtained during the OAuth process. |
| Account Type | Defines the account type. Select Switch account to change between the following options:

| Re-authenticate | Re-authenticates your Unity account with your payment provider account using the OAuth mechanism. |
Note
If you need to re-authenticate your Stripe account, the cause can be either your app containing gambling (refer to Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses) or Unity IAP not being installed in Stripe.
Disconnect Stripe
To remove the Stripe payment provider, you need to uninstall the Unity Purchasing app in your Stripe dashboard.
