Offer an Asset Store package at a discount

The Asset Store runs timed promotional sales that offer many packages on the Asset Store at a discount.

If the Asset Store team contacts you to include a
package

in the sale, you can sell that package at a reduced price for that discount period. When your discount period ends, you must leave the
Asset Store package

at its original price for at least two months. If you change your price, the Asset Store can exclude your package from official sales and promotions. For more information, refer to Unity’s Submission Guidelines.

Include a package in an Asset Store discount period

Before a discount period starts the Asset Store team contacts publishers whose packages fit the criteria or style of the sale. The Asset Store team chooses candidates a month or two before the discount period starts. The Asset Store team selects packages to discount based on the following:
  • The target market of the discount.
  • The estimated performance of a specific package.
  • The theme of the discount period.
The invitation email includes details of the discount period and the start and end dates and the discounts applied. You can include any number of packages that the Asset Store team invite to participate.

Promote an Asset Store discount

You can promote a discounted Asset Store package in the following ways:
  • Use your own website or social media page to advertise the promotion.
  • Don't add any discount-related images to your Asset Store package's marketing and sales imagery.
  • Provide details of your discount in the description text for your package while the discount period is on. This description must include the original price and the length of the promotional discount period (a maximum of two weeks).

Don't promote your package as included in any sales or features hosted by Unity Technologies without Unity’s permission.
