You can create event-based automations that trigger pipelines automatically when specific actions occur in apps, such as, Unity Asset Manager or Unity Version Control.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you meet the following prerequisites:
  • You have the Automation Developer role. Contact your Organization Owner to assign you the role.
  • You have a pipeline configured and ready to be automated.
To create an event-based automation:
  1. Go to the Automations page.
  2. Select + Create automation. The automation configuration wizard opens.
  3. Select Event-based automation.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Select the event.
    1. Select an app to pick one of its events.
    2. Select an event to trigger your pipeline.
  6. Select Next.
  7. Configure filters: enter values for all the event filters. You can also use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard in any of the fields to match all entries. For example, a filter for all assets of type 3D model within a specific project whenever a new version is submitted.
  8. Select Next.
  9. Configure pipeline: choose a pipeline and configure its parameters.
  10. Select Next.
  11. Review automation: provide an automation name and assign an automation bot.
  12. Select Create automation.
The automation is created and enabled by default. You can view your automations on the Automations page. Select your automation to expand it and view its details.
