Issues

The Issues feature is available on the bottom feature menu. You can use this feature to report issues in your model by taking screenshots and uploading them to the cloud to share with your team.

Note: Ensure that you you're connected to the cloud providers via the web portal before uploading your issue screenshots. If you're not connected, will get an error message when you try to select a cloud service. Go to Cloud Authentication for more information on adding cloud providers.

The following buttons are available in the Issues menu:

  • Capture: Takes a screenshot of your model to highlight an issue.
  • View Queue: Stores offline issues.

 

Capture

You can capture a screenshot of the issue. There are basic markup tools available to highlight any section in the image. You can then send them to:

  • Google Drive or OneDrive for Business as issues. In Navisworks, issues can be opened as viewpoints.

    Note: Issue screenshots sent to Google Drive or OneDrive will be in PNG format only.

  • BIM360 or ProCore as an issue, observation, RFI, or punch list.

To capture and upload an issue screenshot:

  1. Select Capture.

  2. This feature takes a screenshot of the current view of your model.

  3. You can use the markup tool (insert markup icon) to highlight any region.

  4. Enter the issue name and comments.

  5. Select the cloud provider you want on the right side.

  6. Select the type of issue report.

  7. Click Upload.

View Queue

If you've captured an issue when you were offline, the queue stores the issue. To upload the offline issues, click Start Upload when you're back online.
