Description

Modifies the comment of a label.


cm label | lb editcomment | edit <lbspec> (<new_comment> | -commentsfile=<comments_file>)

Option / Argument	Description
lbspec	The label whose comment will be edited. (Use `cm help objectspec` to learn more about label specs.)
new_comment	The new comment for the label.
`-commentsfile`	Reads the new comment from the specified file.

To clear the comment, pass an empty comment (

""
```
).
Editing the comment of a label leaves the label on the changeset it's applied to.

is an alias of

editcomment
```
. To create a label named "edit", use
```
cm label create edit
```
.

The following example replaces the comment of label

BL001

with the content of

comment.txt


cm label editcomment lb:BL001 -commentsfile=comment.txt
