Integrate Adjust with Unity

Activate the Unity Ads integration in the Adjust dashboard, enable full data-sharing, map events, and create attribution links.

Prerequisites

Before setup, ensure you meet the following requirements:

Integrate Unity with Adjust

Complete the following steps to integrate Adjust with your User Acquisition campaign:

Activate Unity Ads in the Adjust dashboard

To activate the integration with Unity Ads, follow these steps:
  1. In the Adjust dashboard, go to Campaign Lab > Partners.
  2. Select + New partner and search for Unity Ads.
  3. Choose your app and select Next.
  4. Enter your advertiser Game ID in the GAME ID field. To copy your Game ID from the Unity Dashboard, refer to the following steps:

To copy your Game ID from the User Acquisition Dashboard, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Apps from the left navigation menu of the dashboard. The provided table lists each of your organization's apps.
  2. Scroll or search to locate the desired app.
  3. Select Settings () at the end of the app row to open the app details page.
  4. Go to the MMP settings section.
  5. Select copy () next to Game ID to copy the ID to your clipboard.
Note
Enter your Game ID exactly as shown in the User Acquisition Dashboard. Mismatched Game IDs prevent Unity from receiving events correctly.

Choose data to share with Unity

To select which data Adjust can share with your campaign, follow these steps in the Adjust integration:
  1. From the What sources of data do you want to share options, select Data from all attribution sources.
  2. From the What other data do you want to share? section, select all options:
  • Sessions
  • Uninstalls and reinstalls
  • In-app revenue
  • Parameters
  1. In the Parameters data options, select Send all parameters.

Important
You must share all data types to enable Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Event optimization campaigns.

Map events and parameters

To share in-app events with your User Acquisition campaign, do the following in the Adjust integration:
  1. Go to Data sharing > Map your events and select + Map event.
  2. Choose the event you want Adjust to share with Unity from the Adjust event list.

  1. To map the same events for all platforms, select Use global mapping.
  2. Select or enter the Unity event that corresponds with the correct Adjust event in the Partner event > Name field.

If your Adjust account supports ad revenue data-sharing, send this data as a dedicated
ad_revenue
event.
Otherwise, don't send ad revenue events. Mapping ad revenue events as other event types can cause campaign optimization to stop working.

You can use any custom defined event name for the Adjust App event.
Ensure that you use the provided formatting for the partner event Name. The
NameOfEvent
must not contain spaces.

Session events for Retention campaigns don't require event mapping.
To create an attribution link, do the following in the integration setup:
  1. On the Setup review page, select Create link.
  2. Copy the attribution link for integration in the Unity dashboard.
