Manage Diagnostics data

Access or delete user Diagnostics data in response to Data Subject Requests.

Because you own your Diagnostics data, you are the data controller and are responsible for actioning any user Data Subject Requests you receive. To respond to Data Subject Requests regarding Diagnostics data, you can take the following actions: You need to be one of the following user types to access or delete Diagnostics data:
  • Project Owner or Manager
  • Organization Owner or Manager

Request access to your Diagnostics data

You can request a copy of your Diagnostics data for one or all of your users. To request a copy of your Diagnostics data, submit a support request with the following information:
  • Your email address: Specify the email address where you want to receive your Diagnostics data.
  • Subject: Enter
    Requesting Diagnostics Data
    .
  • Choose a topic to reach the right support team: Select Account and Organization.
  • Description: Provide the following information:
    • Your project details, including project name and ID.
    • (Optional) The installation IDs of the specific users whose data you want to request.
After you submit the request, you receive an email containing a copy of your users' Diagnostics data.
Note
If you don't provide a specific installation ID when you submit the request, then the email you receive contains the Diagnostics data for all your users.

Delete your Diagnostics data

You can submit Diagnostics data deletion requests for either of the following:
  • A single user's installation ID
  • All users associated with a project
For information about accessing installation IDs in your game, refer to Access installation IDs.

Request data deletion for a specific user

To delete the Diagnostics data associated with a single installation ID, do the following:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, go to Projects > Overview.
  2. Select View Diagnostics.
  3. Select the Data Privacy tab.
  4. In the Delete Diagnostics Data section, select Delete Diagnostics Data.
  5. Select Specific user with installation ID.
  6. In Installation ID, enter the user's installation ID.
  7. Select Delete Diagnostics Data.
Warning
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
After you submit the request, you receive a confirmation message that your data deletion request is being processed.

Request deletion of all Diagnostics data associated with a project

To delete the diagnostics data for all users associated with a project, do the following:
  1. In the Unity Dashboard, go to Projects > Overview.
  2. Select View Diagnostics.
  3. Select the Data Privacy tab.
  4. In the Delete Diagnostics Data section, select Delete Diagnostics Data.
  5. Select All users.
  6. Select Delete Diagnostics Data.
Warning
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
After you submit the request, you receive a confirmation message that your data deletion request is being processed.
