Troubleshooting: Unable to view any cloud assets in a project in the Asset Manager for Unity window

The Asset Manager for Unity window displays all cloud assets in the selected project.

If you see the message 'It seems you don't have any assets uploaded to the selected project in your Asset Manager Dashboard', when you select a project, then you are unable to view any cloud assets in the selected project.

This issue can occur due to the following reasons:

  • There are no cloud assets in the selected Unity Cloud project.
  • You are signed out of Unity Editor.
  • Your Unity Editor is not linked to the right organization.

Troubleshooting steps

If you don’t see any cloud assets in a project in the Asset Manager for Unity window, make sure you do the following:

  1. Verify if the project has assets, select the project you want in the Asset Manager for Unity window.
  2. Select Open the Asset Manager Dashboard. This option redirects you to your Unity Cloud account in a browser window. The selected project displays the list of cloud assets.
  3. If the project is empty, you can add cloud assets. You can only add assets if you have a Contributor role in Asset Manager. For more information, see Roles and permissions.
  4. If the project is not empty, then go to the next section:
  • Check if you are signed in to the Unity Editor.
  • You need to be linked to the correct Organization. To check, follow these steps:
    1. In the Unity Editor, go to the top menu bar and select Edit > Project Settings > Services.
    2. Ensure that Unity Organization displays the organization name that you or your team had selected to upload assets in Asset Manager on Unity Cloud. It doesn't matter if you see a different project name as long as you have the right organization. You can access all projects in the organization.
    3. If your Unity Editor is not linked to an organization, then select the organization that you want from the dropdown list.
    4. Select the option Use an existing cloud project.
    5. Select the project you want from the dropdown list.
    6. Select Link Unity project to cloud project.
    7. Select Yes to confirm.
