To sign a build artifact, you use a cryptographic certificate to apply a digital signature to the output of your build. This process verifies the identity of the developer or organization. You need to digitally sign your application to meet the requirements to deploy your app on certain stores, such as the App Store, Google Play Store, and the Microsoft store.
