Create merge rules

Configure merge rules in Unity Version Control.

As an administrator, you can set up conditions that branches must meet to be merged into other branches. To create a Version Control merge rule in the Unity Dashboard:
  1. Open DevOps > Version Control > Settings.
  2. Select the Merge Rules tab, and select New merge rule.
  3. Select the Merge condition.
  4. Select the repository the condition should apply to.
  5. Enter the source branch.
  6. Enter attributes in the form of name/value pairs (optional).
  7. Enter the destination branch. Note: You can choose to enable the rule or enable it later.
  8. Select Save rule.
